Habit: They like to hide in small cracks and crevices close to a human environment. Bed bugs like to travel and will hide in suitcases, boxes, and shoes near a food supply.
Diet: Bed bugs like to suck human blood and get their name because they like to live and feed in beds. Although bed bugs can dine on any warm-blooded animal, they primarily dine on humans.
Reproduction: Female bed bugs can lay over 500 eggs in a lifetime.
At the beginning of infestation, bed bugs are likely to be found in the seams, tufts, and fold of mattresses and bed covers. Eventually, heavy infestation will travel to bed boards, furnishings, crevices in walls and floors, and to adjacent rooms.
